Israel has been a world-class competitor in national and international martial arts tournaments since 1990. Since that time, he has been a strong positive influence in the sport.
Master Israel does not just use his knowledge of taekwondo for competition. He also shares his passion with many students. He strongly emphasizes the development of moral character, as well as physical strength in the discipline of a martial artist. Many of his students have followed in his footsteps to become N.J. state champions, U.S. Junior Olympic national champions and International champions. In his taekwondo school, Israel teaches his students that a martial artist never gives up, but keeps trying with determination to reach their goals. He not only teaches this, he lives it.
Master Israel Nava has participated as a student in the sport since the age of 10, and now, a 5th Dan and Taekwondo Master, has instructed hundreds of youngsters in the art for 2 decades. He has represented his native Mexico in tournaments and competitions, and now leads his award-winning students to greater and greater heights in the discipline and art of taekwondo.
Since its establishment in 2007, Nava''s Martial Arts Academy has specialized in the instruction of Taekwondo to adults and children as young as 4 years old under his direction.
Students enrolled and graduates of the academy have demonstrated not only their skill in the art, but also competence in life, self-assurance, respect for others and a high degree of honor and courage, all of which are essential to the mastery of TAEKWONDO.
